Michelle Carter competes in the Women’s Shot Put today

Carter is a 2nd Generation Olympian. Her father won Silver in the Shot Put at the 1984 Games. He’s also the only person to win an Olympic medal and a Superbowl in a 12 month span. Michelle and her father have the unique distinction of combining to hold the United States High School National Records in girls and boys shot put respectively.
